Tema Mayor, Hon.Yohane Amarh Ashitey yesterday met with the leadership of Tema Kpelejoo Groups, and the Police to discuss strategies for the effective implementation of the moratorium placed by the Tema Traditional Council on all celebrations within the Tema Traditional Area.

A moratorium on all forms of Traditional festivities and merry making was announced by the Tema Traditional Council upon the demise of the Late Tema Mantse, Nii Adjei Kraku II.

This directive remains in force until the burial and final funeral rites of the Late Paramount Chief of the Area.

The Mayor's meeting with the Youth is ensure that all parties are properly aligned with the Traditional norms for peace and harmony to prevail even as we mourn our revered late Traditional Leader.
