Tema Metropolitan Assembly on Tuesday hosted Mr. Henrick Seiding, City Manager of Aarhus, the second largest City in Denmark.

Mr. Seiding, led a high powered delegation to Tema to sign an MOU extending the ongoing Strategic Sector Cooperation (SSC) on Urban Water improvement and Wastewater Treatment between the City of Aarhus and Tema. This visit followed an early one by the Prime Minister of Denmark late last year.

At a ceremony organised to welcome the delegation, Tema Mayor Hon.Yohane Amarh Ashitey expressed his appreciation to the Danish Government and the City of Aarhus in particular for the partnership and pledged his commitment to ensuring its successful implementation.

The Strategic Sector Cooperation (SSC) which involves stakeholders such as GWCL and EPA seeks to implement innovative solutions to water challenges in the Greater Accra Metropolitan Area(GAMA) and Tema in particular .

Present at the ceremony were the Danish Ambassador to Ghana HE Tom Norring, Nii Adjetey Agbo , Ag. President Tema Traditional Council, Alhaji Shehu Kadiri, Tema Metropolitan Coordinating Director and Officials from TMA and Ghana Water Company Ltd.
